Bookworm Reads began in 2021 with a simple idea: reading is our favorite hobby, and sharing it should be just as fun. Amelia (@meelworm), a lifelong book lover, wanted a book tracker that was beautiful to use and made it easy to connect with other readers.

What started as a one-worm project has grown into a thriving community, now supported by a small but mighty team of over 20 passionate volunteers. Together, we're creating a space that champions books and the people who love them—uplifting authors, celebrating independent bookstores and libraries, and helping readers everywhere connect and share the joy of reading. With an emphasis on inclusivity and design, we aim to provide a virtual book lover's paradise where readers explore, discover, comment and connect all while enjoying alluring and captivating design features. Oh, and create their own wormy avatars!
