Our Story
Bookworm began in 2021 with a simple idea: reading is our favorite hobby, and sharing it should be just as fun. What started as a lil hobby project has grown into a thriving community built on warmth, playful design, and real connection.
Today, a small-but-mighty crew of volunteers keeps Bookworm humming. Together, we're building a reader-first home that champions books and the people who love them—uplifting authors, celebrating independent bookstores and libraries, and helping readers everywhere connect, discover, and share. Plus, you can dress up your wormy avatar!

Bookworm Reads is powered by a small, passionate team of volunteers. You read that right: every dollar made goes right back into improving the app and growing our community. From building new features to connecting with readers like you, each team member has experienced the magic of the Bookworm Reads community first-hand and truly believes in the power of stories to bring like-minded (and not like-minded!) humans—errr, wormies—together in a supportive, safe space.
